Some of you may remember overthebarblog.com, that website somehow is still up and has lots of old articles. Someone recently described it as a time capsule of Brighton cycling culture.
Well, I’m back but with a new website and a new bunch of ideas and ways to connect to our community. overthebar.cc is predominately a place for Brighton and the vicinity but will also feature places, people, art and culture from far and wide too.
Our aim is to connect our community and those adjacent to it together. We will post articles in these main categories:
Journal – stories and adventures
Events – pre and post event articles
Dispatch – news and hot of the press stuff
Art – music, art, culture
Interviews – interesting people
Bikes – cool bikes, readers bikes, ones we see in the street
Cool stuff – shiny new things and stuff that catches our eye
Sound Board – opinions and rants
Calendar – events and reoccurring rides etc.
All overthebar.cc content is created by our community, we are always looking for more people to join in and if you feel you want to contribute, send us a message through the website or at overthebar.cc@gmail.com. We are all volunteers and have come together to make this happen!
I hope you follow us on this journey and do talk our ears off if you have any suggestions and ideas on how we can do this better. We have an Instagram and a Strava club will follow. See you on the trails of Sussex.
